Time to Talk About the Next Trip

Are you interested in seeing how God can use YOU in the DRC? The goals for the next trip will include training the local church in Dibaya-Lubwe on church planting (specifically in the area of training church leadership), helping develop the next step for IBBC,  following up on the SD Card project, working on organizing and cataloging the books in the library, Sunday School teacher training, and teaching a class at IBBC on church administration. If you are interested, please contact Sparky as soon as possible! Right now, we are looking at around February 3-26 (with some flexibility within that timeframe). We are prayerfully considering the possibility of Myndii going on this trip as well.  Please pray for this to work out and for others to join us!

If you are interested in details for the SD cards, tablets for this project, Bibles, or any of the other projects, please let us know.  One-time gifts go a long way to getting these resources into hands!

Are We Friends?

Social media can be the source/promotion of many negative things; however, it doesn’t have to be! Wednesdays are our #DRCMinistryPartners days on Facebook. We have been highlighting a different Congolese ministry partner including a brief biography, photo(s), praises, and prayer requests.  (Each of these individuals have given their permission to do these highlights.) If possible, we contact them a few days before the post to get current updates and let them know it’s their week.

Are you getting these vital prayer/praise updates? Do you want to put faces to the names? Do you want to make sure you get the latest prayer letter? Ask to join our group on Facebook so you make sure you don’t miss anything! Just search: Clancy Chronicles – Praying for the DR Congo

In case you have missed them, so far we have highlighted Papy (teaching at IBBC and serving at Beaux Pieds Church), Macaire (serving at Beaux Pieds Church and recently graduated from IBBC), Pastor Bavon (student at IBBC, pastoring in Idiofa), Francy (working with the SD card project), Pastor Emmanuel (serving in Kikwit and with IBBC), and Jeremie (student at IBBC). We have many more coming!

Martha Update

Thank you for your prayers on Martha’s behalf.  She is settling into college life quite well at Cornerstone Bible Institute.  Her epilepsy hasn’t hindered her too much, thus far.  Please pray that the medication will continue to work and that she will get the rest she needs to keep the seizure risk as low as possible.  Again, if you would like to follow what’s going on in her brain, visit her blog: superbrainstorming.blogspot.com

Her student mailing address is
1441 Martin St
Hot Springs, SD 57747

School is Back in Session

Titus was able to enroll in the local community college to take dual-credit classes.  This enables him to get both high school and college credit for each class.  This semester he is taking Math, English, and US History at the college.  He is homeschooling for Bible and Physics.

Ruth is now in 7th grade.  We are homeschooling her this year for all her subjects except Band.  She is playing the Alto Saxophone with the band at our local school in Notus.

Please pray for Myndii as she is adjusting back to homeschooling and spending more time on ministry.

Looking Ahead

September 13-14, Myndii will be driving to Utah to speak at a ladies’ retreat at Camp Utibica.

Sparky and Myndii will be traveling to South Dakota to speak at Cornerstone Bible Institute from October 21-25.

DRC in February 2020! As we look forward to and plan this trip, please pray for several individuals or couples to join us. What about you?
