Last month we gave an illustration of two farmers praying for rain. The farmer that started working in his field, preparing for the rain to come, had the faith that God would send it.
We have been praying and preparing, with you, for God to work in amazing ways to get us to Congo. This month, He did just that. God “sent rain” and doubled our support from 40% to 80%.
What does this mean? Lord willing…
*We will keep our scheduled meetings for May, June, and July. We are very excited to share about what God has been doing!
*We will start preparing for language study in Canada, starting this fall.
*We will continue to gather the materials needed to ship in our container. We ask for prayer for wisdom in what to (and not to) take, and for the Lord’s provision for these things. We are hoping to have it ready to ship before language school.
What this does not mean…
*We are not leaving tomorrow. There is still much to be done! Please continue to pray for wisdom in prioritizing what needs to be done and when.
*We are not fully supported. We are still praying that God will provide the remaining amount necessary to effectively serve Him in what He is preparing for us to do Congo.

Congo Happenings
The Grings wrote a prayer letter recently that some of you may have received. For those of you who did not, we felt it necessary to give you an excerpt:
"In January, the Board of Directors of E.L.B.C. gathered at Dibaya-Lubwe with 25 other pastors and deacons to enjoy a week of intense Bible study and taking care of business. Dan was also able to oversee several projects on the building of the Bible Institute as well as the new airstrip nearby. There is much yet to be done on both of these projects! Dan, Pepe, & Glorie will spend a month at Dibaya-Lubwe beginning the last week in March. Pray for safety as they travel in the old Toyota Land Cruiser which Dan has recently “resurrected.” The airstrip there has almost been cleared of the more than 700 trees; now the holes left by stumps need to be filled and the airstrip leveled and tamped. On the Bible Institute property we are ready to begin the first student family housing duplex! Each duplex will cost approximately $2,500 to build and will house two families. Pray for God’s provision to continue building."
We are so excited to see that men are willing and able to travel to Dibaya for meetings again (many of them traveled in last year while we were there). It is easier, and much less expensive for interior pastors to travel to Dibaya rather than all the way to Kinshasa. This will be able to be a more common occurrence once there is a full-time missionary (US!) at the Institute.
As the Grings pointed out, it does cost money for materials to build the student housing, as well as other buildings at the Institute. If you are interested in giving toward the building(s) for the Bible Institute, donations may be sent to IFM with the note “Bible Institute of Congo Building Fund.”
