Our October Surprise

Last month’s prayer letter we told you that our schedule was pretty clear for the month. Just a few days after sending out our e-mail, we started getting calls from pastors, and October filled up fast.

So…this is what October ended up looking like:

October

11th Atlanta, Idaho

17th AWANA conference in Baker City, Oregon

18th Kuna Baptist in Kuna, Idaho

25th Roswell Baptist in Roswell, Idaho

26th-28th Grace Baptist in Rock Springs, Wyoming

29th-31st With the Adank’s in Coalville, Utah

November

1st-4th Utah mission’s conference

Apparently, God was not ready for us to have a break. Thank you all for your continued prayers about our schedule and travels!

Caleb Schaaf

We also told you about Caleb Schaaf in the previous prayer letter. Caleb was in Dibaya, helping with projects at the Bible Institute but had to be flown back to Kinshasa from Dibaya via an MAF plane. (He had a piece of meat stuck in his throat that would not dislodge.) He was treated by a doctor in Kinshasa and is recovering without complication.

Praise the Lord, Caleb is fine! Also, now MAF has now landed in Dibaya and says the runway is perfectly adequate and will be willing to fly in for support of the Bible Institute and any other future emergencies.

Another discovery was made in light of this incident: Dibaya has a Doctor. This will be a great blessing to us not only for our own medical care, but also for the students and families that will be attending the Institute.

We actually got an e-mail from Caleb this morning. We are very excited to talk with him more about the projects in Congo, and his trip. He sent us the following pictures from the building projects in Dibaya!!!

Look, buildings! :)

Mission’s Conferences

We just spent the last two weeks with some wonderful servants of God. We have been so encouraged to see how God is still working in amazing ways in our country!

Three evening services were spent in Rock Springs, Wyoming. What a wonderful family of believers! They completely spoiled us, and were such a blessing.

The next meetings were in Utah at a “Round Robin” conference. We started in Mt. Pleasant, our hosting church, on Sunday. We then traveled to evening services in Marysvale, Delta, and Nephi. These churches each also spoiled us with great accommodations, food, and gifts.

A whole prayer letter could be written on the blessings these past few weeks. Please know that God and His people have been pouring out grace!

Support

The Lord continues to provide in miraculous ways! We now have 5 churches and 8 individual/family supporters and are now just over 27% of our monthly support goal. We have also been blessed with many one-time gifts. The Lord is moving!

Thank you again to all who have given sacrificially.

Looking Ahead

Please keep an eye on our website for future scheduling. Our ministry calendar is located at the bottom of the page.
