Our First Mission’s Conference
We made it! March 1st was the final day of our very first mission’s conference…on this side of the fence. What a blessing it was to have our first conference at “home” with churches (people!) we already know and love. We also got to meet a lot of new people, and renew friendships with some that we hadn’t seen in a while. Praise the Lord for the way He preserves family relationships within the body!
We were able to hold meetings at 8 different churches in just over 3 week's time; we had such a great time sharing with them all. We are also so very thankful to all the fellow missionaries that participated in the conference. They were a great source of encouragement and ideas. What a privilege to serve our Lord together with them!
Our Prayer, Lord willing
The most popular question is still, “When are you leaving?”
We would like to share with you how we see God moving, and our prayer concerning this. We have told most of you that we are preparing for God to move quickly, but are also willing to wait on His timing. We are preparing to be in Congo by the summer of 2011…in time to settle in before beginning teaching at the Bible Institute that fall.
This is possible…only with God!
Realistically, for this to happen, we will need to be fully supported (monthly support) no later than July of 2010. We would then spend time in intensive French Language training. When that is completed, we should be ready to hit the ground running.
The reason for such a short time-frame is that the need is NOW! There is already a waiting list of applicants who want to be considered as students at the Institute. Most of these men are already pastors and leaders in churches, but have little to no Bible training.
Will you pray with us about this goal, and the clarity of God’s leading?!?
Prayer Cards
We have ordered our first prayer cards! If we have your “snail-mail” address, you should have received one from us already. If you have not received one, please let us know, and we will get one to you.
Prayer is the most important thing you can give us, and the most vital part of your ministry to us. Please use these cards as a reminder to pray not only for us, but also the people in Congo, the Bible Institute, and our fellow workers on the field. This ministry is so much bigger than the Clancy’s…we are but a small piece of the puzzle that God is using for His grand plan. Thank you for your commitment to being “pieces” alongside us!
Support Levels
Please look to the right of this letter to see where we are currently in regards to financial support.
We were reminded recently that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and the contents of every mine. He doesn’t need to ask for money, and neither do His ministries. However, what a privilege He has given us believers; being allowed to participate in what He is doing, by giving back some of what He has given us!
Thank you again for sharing with us in God’s ministry to the Democratic Republic of Congo!
